Three dongle with phone SIM
There were lots of threads about this 6 months ago but I'm rather confused
about the current situation, so I wonder if anyone could confirm:

If I take a Three dongle, and put in a phone SIM (eg 3Pay):
Can I access the My3 site (http://mobile.three.co.uk/)?
Can I buy addons like Internet Daily or Internet Weekly or are they blocked?
If I use the APN three.co.uk can I use those without incurring extra data
charges?
Is it possible to topup the non-data credit on my SIM using this method,
using vouchers bought from shops? (Or a topup swipe card, if 3 provide them)
Do I still get the free 120MB data/free 3-to-3 calls for topping up?

Thanks,
Theo

You can access www.three.co.uk and my3.three.co.uk but I don't know
about mobile.three.co.uk - don't think you can.

Yes, you can buy them.

Yes

Which method? You can enter a voucher code on my3

I think it is 150MB, but I don't think you get free 3-3 calls unless
you are on 3pay. Flat12 doesn't offer that, but it is MUCH cheaper,
especially if you buy stretch addons.

Three don't use ecards, but you can allocate a credit.debit card to the
account

I thought that the three.co.uk APN was included in the
internet-on-your-phone packages (Internet Daily etc), but if you used
3internet it cost per MB. But if you bought a Mobile Broadband package the
3internet APN was covered. You seem to be suggesting they're
interchangeable?

I notice you're a fan of the Skypephone S2. Does this have any benefits for
pure modem use - no calls or on-phone browsing? I already have a dongle but
the Skypephone is 50 quid (well, 27 once you take off the topup and quidco
excluding their fee).

They are interchangeable, and on PAYG at least it has no effect on cost per
Mb

Don't know about effect on contract, Three PAYG internet is too cheap to
bother
with contract

S2's are more sensitive than dongles, it's self installing connection
manager
makes it very easy to use as a modem, and it charges itself up it's USB
lead.
Amoi have put a lot of thought into it's use as a modem

and you get a respectable camera phone

I've got a ZTE627 dongle, Nokia 6120c and a S2, used them all as HSDPA
modems on Three, and the S2 is the one leave connected to the laptop
