I'm back!
I'm back.

I was rushed into hospital last Saturday evening with a temp of
41.2C (that's 106F in real money) blood pressure through the roof and
setting off alarms, heart rate topping out at 180bpm and a head that
felt like it had exploded been swept up, minced, pounded and then
stuck on an oven on full blast.

I can remember looking up about midnight and seeing four bags on the
drip trolley, but I don't remember anything else until Sunday morning.

Lots of tests later - and all they can really put it down to was a
virus, though what virus is still under debate. By Monday I was ready
to go home but of course I had to complete the course of IV
antibiotics (because they were started and you can stop mid course) so
it was a long wait to Wednesday evening before I could
escape. Now feeling almost 100% better, so its back to the grindstone.

OK, not to many posts to catch up on :(

Nah! Kept asking the nurses for relief but they told me they were not
allowed to do that.

I stay with this group because it has all the sepulchral ambience of a
funeral parlour. One could die peacefully in here without causing
a fuss...

Glad it was only viral, albeit with nasty effects and that you are
feeling ok again.

The four new ones aren't coming back with us. They have to be six months old
to get a rabies jab and then wait another six months before they can enter
the country without quarantine, so we will be giving them to good homes
over here.

Ah! Helping to spread the cat's aim of total world domination.
