5.1 day hi-res lunar mosaic
Here's another hi-res lunar mosaic this time composed of 78 frames.
Each frame was distilled from an AVI via Registax 5. All 78 frames
were manually assembled to produce the hi-res mosaic available in the
link.

This and the previous day's mosaic have been assembled so that the
changing lighting effects can be seen here (2.7Mb):

Absolutely wonderful as ever Pete. That last one is particuarly nice
as when I view it at full resolution on my twin monitors I get a
rather good side-by-side comparison.
Presumably the slight variations from a perfect circle along the
"horizon" are mountains and so on rather than earth-atmospheric
effects (apart from the very small and occasional mosaic stitches!).

Too bad our own NASA can't do half as good, and odd that so much of
their original Apollo metric mapping images don't seem to look
anything like your stuff, or for that matter like anything from JAXA
or ISRO.

The best resolution and even the dynamic range from ISRO sucks.
http://www.universetoday.com/2009/04/03/latest-images-from-chandrayaan-1/
Oddly theres still equal or better resolution images via them old
Apollo analog metric mapping images, even as poorly scanned into
digital format none the less.
http://www.lpi.usra.edu/resources/apollo/catalog/metric/
Unfortunately, on each and every pass they somehow entirely missed
getting any of their landing sites within a given metric mapping FOV.
