Locator library for software authors
Hello to yourselves. I'm a programmer of some years and it is my intention
to write a bit of logging software but I desire it to calculate distances
from locator squares as SD and the like do. The problem is that I've no idea
of the formulae behind locator squares. If anyone knows the formulae or
knows where I can dowload a library of functions and/ or databases or
locators then i would appreciate your assistance.

Thanks and 73

It's formally known as the Maidenhead Locator System.

It's easy to write a program to work it out from longitude and
latitude.
