scopes for shooting rats
Hi

I am looking for some help choosing some scopes and tips on shooting
rates.

I have an HW80 air rifle and have started to use it to keep down the
population of rats around the back of my shed. The scopes I have are
no good and I need to replace. The range I'm shooting over is only 10
to 20 yards but light conditions are often not great.

I'm thinking I need something x 40, but I am wondering whether the
accuracy drops as you get up close because the height they sit above
the barrel. Perhaps this is irrelevant - not sure.

Does anyone have any suggestions / recommendations on scopes? Not
really sure what I should be looking out for.

Also, any top tips on coaxing the little whatsits out to be shot would
be much appreciated.

Thanks
Giles
