Furniture problem
I bought a cabin bed from a company in July.
The bed was missing a drawer front which they told me would be sent out
Thursday of that week, they promised it would be sent out so I bought the
bed in good faith trusting it would be sent.
When I got it home the one remaining drawer front was damaged, I called them
and they agreed to send two. I have been calling every week for now 6 weeks
only to be told they know I have a problem but they are waiting on the
warehouse to send them to them so they can forward them onto me. This is the
same excuse week after week.
Anyway last week they said I would be receiving them Tuesday this week, they
arrived today and are not pine, which the bed is, but brown.
I am completely fed up with this company and wanted to know where I stand
legally and how long is a reasonable time to allow them to rectify their
mistakes. Its been six weeks now. i did call them today and told they they
sent me brown drawers and they said they would ring me back at the end of
business today, which they didnt.
Can anyone offer any advice please

Write a letter to the MD/CEO of the company explaining the situation
and giving them a reasonable amount of time to sort it out, say, 7
days. Send all letters by recorded delivery to get proof.
If they do not sort it out within the time frame then you have a few
options. I would reject the goods and demand a full refund, or you
could keep them and demand a partial refund.
IANAL, but 6 weeks may be too long to get a full refund if you have
used the items. However, since you complained promptly, I believe you
are entitled to reject the goods (under the Sale of Goods Act).
If you don't get your refund then file a claim in the county court.
This is easy to do and can be done online.
For more advice you can contact consumer direct.
Please name and shame the company in question.
