It is surprising that the Bar Standards Board are not investigating
the complaints made by John Alexander Symonds, following his
criticisms of Judge Geoffrey Rivlin QC, who was the chief prosecutor
in his trial back in 1981. The transcript of the trial is already

What is truly amazing is that the record of Geoffrey Rivlin's closing
speech was removed from the official transcript (apparently at the
request of Geoffrey Rivlin), and that the judge Angus Stroyan played a
major part in editing the official transcript, by making something
like 1,100 alterations to his summing up (according to the
Metropolitan Police's investigation of the trial records).

Why has Geoffrey Rivlin not been questioned by the Bar Council about
these matters????

Fun to mock joe, but, are nt, these groups set up to make sure the
standards of moral charcater are met by practichioners before they are
granted apractise certificate, it seems if an *old boy* of the net
work says such and such a guy is ok....hes in, never mind open
knowlegde that says the opposite, so who polices the standards board,
may I ask...do tell us
