Speed Cameras 'Illegal'
I reproduce here a short article in today's Nottingham Evening Post at
page 8 which does not appear in their online version:

"SPEED cameras are unlawful because they have not been properly
approved by Parliament, a lawyer said today as he announced plans to
challenge their use in the High Court.

Robbie the Pict also says cameras that trap motorists that run a red
light are being used illegally.

The cameras are signed off by the Home Secretary, but Robbie says the
law states each model must be approved by statutory instrument, a term
he describes as a mini Act of Parliament".

In Scotland Robbie the Pict is a well known nutter. So I wouldn't bet any
money on it.
