Policeman charged over death
A policeman has actually been charged with causing death by dangerous
driving after a crash which left a 16 year old girl dead.
Sit back and wait for the not guilty after some back stage wrangling.

How can 'back-stage wrangling' affect a jury's decision?

Because the charge will be frigged, and the judge will direct the jury
that they can't consider this that and the other when reaching their
verdict, the prosecution won't try very hard, and the defence will be
given every accomodation.

Haven't you heard of "Jury Knobbling"?
Alternatively, the CPS could drop the case due to (undisclosed)
technical reasons.

Not in the public interest or no evidence presented due to the lack of it.

At least someone is starting to take notice of the carnage due to
police pursuits, which this vehicle had been engaged in.

What evidence is permitted to be introduced and a judge's direction
and summing up can all have a bearing on a jury verdict. I hope that
doesn't happen but after a similar case a few years ago I don't hold
out much hope.
I recall a comment at the time that the constable in that case was
charged with the most serious possible offence because it was more
likely he would get off. A risky tactic but more difficult to prove so
more likely to lead to an acquittal. Which is what happened. There is
no doubt he killed a man. There is no doubt he was speeding even
though he had been ordered not to. The jury refused to convict on
causing death by dangerous driving and were not offered a lesser
offence.

Or more likely the guilty verdict, as in several other cases.

There were number of eyewitnesses to the shooting of seven bullets to the
head on the tube also.

That's true, but from what I know of this case I believe he will be found
guilty as charged.

Thing is that the most serious possible charge here would have been
"murder". Followed by "manslaughter"...
Interestingly when it's a police officer killed by a driver the charge
often is "murder".
