Junior QA Tester

* Preparation of software, manually tested to specification before
being handed over to the Commercial Team for release; * Developing
test scripts, performing manual testing (not automated) on web-based
applications; * Inputting and tracking defects in a defect tracking
system, identifying issues for resolution at source; * Reporting and
maintaining bugs/errors and non-compliances to specifications in the
faults database; * Validating supporting documents with software (e.g.
Help or Installation Guides) and maintaining documented systems for
evidence of compliance; * Testing cycles, including Beta site co-
ordination; * Reporting progress back in a timely and efficient
manner.

We are not necessarily looking for candidates with experience or
training in automated software testing, as this is largely a manual
testing environment. To qualify as an applicant for the role you will
essentially need to demonstrate:

· An understanding of the function that software QA testing plays
within the business and client arena; · Some training or experience of
Web-based Application Testing using Internet Explorer, and/or
developing test scripts from documented requirements; · Prior
experience of working in a team-based environment, with a proven
ability to actively contribute to the team, working effectively and
productively alone or unsupervised on given tasks; · A willingness to
embrace an Agile Development Methodology within the software
development work environment; · A strong desire to develop consistent
and value-add quality processes, and to learning to utilise automated
test tools;
