HI AM ANOTHER VICTIM!!
Well it seems am not alone in being robbed of £39! I too have spoke to
the famous Owen and had a gut feeling i was being done but didnt go
with my instincts!
It seems people read this page when it has happened to them and they
dont do it before. Owen did leave a work number with me being
02083137481 and 08700843400. After calling the latter moments ago i
was advised owen was off sick by a dumb receptionist who refused to
give me her name as apparently they work for the government and it is
"sensitive information". I instead insulted her before hanging up
realising i had been done.
What annoys me even more is that these losers have our personal
details like addresses, phone numbers etc and i dont know how they
managed to get our details via totaljobs.
What can we do? any chances of a refund?

This is a total scam. I work for the leading scientific agency and we
have been seeing a lot of these CV's appearing - they all start "I am
an enthusistic and hardworking individual..." and all look the same so
don't be fooled into thinking that you are getting an individual
service because your not - 2 mins cut and paste job at best. We have
even heard stories that they have been using our name saying that they
are working with us - THEY ARE NOT! At this current time we believe
that the following companies are involved:
CV Selector
Science RO - http://www.sciencero.com/
S2hr - www.s2hr.com
Greenlane (this goes to s2hr). Check these websites they look very
similar!
What is worse is that they seem to be breaking every REC rule.
1. You can not say that you are working on behalf of another agency
when the agency has no idea
2. You can not say that you have the perfect job for someone if the
end client has not given you permission to work on the role
3. You can not make the application conditional on spending £39 on
getting your CV 'fixed'. No reputable agency will charge you a fee to
find a job.
I suggest that if you are appraoched in this way then just call
trading standards!
