Off-the-shelf company purchase
Can anyone recommend a good website?

How much should we expect to pay to get sufficient documentation to be
taken seriously by (say) a bank?

TIA.

Can't recommend any in particular, sorry. Have always done "DIY" (sensibly
priced for client, and more personalised). But not since new Act and new
table A etc.

With on-line formations now rampant, I wouldn't bother with
"off-the-shelf" - most formation agencies will do "new" as quickly as a name
change.

Price? I've seen as low as c£40 + vat and upwards. Look carefully at what
you actually get (who needs a seal, or record books?). All the bank will
want to see is the Cert of Incorp (which is weird in itself, since they are
easily forged, and the CH website is far more reliable.)

If it's not a problem to have a company which has previously traded, there
are plenty out there for sale now - for a quid... Several are listed in the
FT top hundred, under "banks"... :-)))

As Martin says "off the shelf" is pointless. If anything it indicates
inefficient.

How about using http://www.quickformations.com/

They have an accountants account. I use them.
