Clients appearing on HMRC list of clients
I tried to authorise some new clients online recently.

I've received the authorisation codes for 14 of them over the last
week or so and I have submitted the codes yet they still don't appear
on my client lists.

I phoned the Helpdesk about one and they said they would "escalate"
the problem. I pointed out that this isn't an isolated problem and
they said that I would need to send an email with the name, UTR and NI
number of each of these clients.

I told them that they should have the information on all the codes
I've submitted in the past couple of weeks so I don't need to provide
that information. They said they couldn't do anything unless I
provided the information. I'd spoken to a supervisor and she was going
to get her supervisor to phone me back.

When I got a phone call they accepted me giving a UTR list over the
phone.

I still don't believe that HMRC can't access an agent's account and
see what activity has taken place.
