This is on behalf of a friend who cannot access newsgroups.

His VW Passat has for some time had a problem with the battery draining 
current resulting in it going completely flat.   It has been in the hands of 
his local agent on several occasions but they are unable to identify the 
problem.   I was wondering if anyone on this group has experience of a 
similar problem and may be able to shed some light on it.
