Tax Band K
Band K includes vehicles over 225g/km but registered pre March 2006.
Otherwise, these would fall into band L, which costs nearly £200 a year
more. Does anyone know whether this concession is due to be phased out? If
so, when?

Parker's says:

Exemption for older cars (those registered between March 1 2001 and March 23
2006) will run until 2011, but there is a question mark over what happens
after this date. Some owners (or potential owners) could find themselves in
the same position as they are now - having to pay a substantial increase in
Road Tax - in 24 months time.

Each car falls into a certain tax band depending on how much CO2 it
