[eBay] Rare book about FIAT for sale
I have for sale on eBay the book
Forty Years of Design with Fiat
by Dante Giacosa (father of the 500 "Topolino", "new" 500 and more!)
It was printed in 1979.

I hope this advert is not a problem, I haven't found rules for this
newsgroup.

It's in the charter, here:
http://www.usenet.org.uk/uk.rec.cars.misc.html
Your ad is probably outside the charter, and might contravene eBay's
T&Cs, but I don't personally have a problem with it.
Good luck with the auction.

I suggest that you didn't look very hard:
http://www.usenet.org.uk/uk.rec.cars.misc.html
Where you will find that your advert was off-topic.
Ciao Daniele,
Complimenti, Tu sei una di quelle persone che ha un desiderio di spam.
Quindi non guardare correttamente prima di spamming. La Carta per questo

Didn't know the rules for a newsgroup are called "charter" in English, I
deleted the post.
Thanks for your help.

How does this deletion work? I read the original post when my newsreader
downloaded it. Do I have to delete it myself, then? (Well, too late,
actually.)

Well you can issue a cancel but not all news servers will honour it.
FWIW, the original post was not available from my server so the cancel
worked from my POV.

I am using Thunderbird. You delete the post from your newsgroup view,
then it should be deleted from the newsservers too, at least I suppose
that people downloading posts after the deletion shouldn't be getting
the deleted one.
