I don't wish to be seen as carping about the fact that these 
disconnections are now over very quickly compared with a few days ago, butÂ…

I'm now finding it difficult to distinguish between the grey (no data) 
background from the mauve (off) background when the lines are just one 
or two pixels wide (the short outages)

The existing colour seems to be approximately #CE8AFE. I would suggest 
that a more "puce" #FF44FF would stand out better.

I would welcome comments from anyone who happens to be colour blind, 
before this change is taken seriously, though.
