Sky SD picture poor recently?
I have a Sky HD box feeding into a Panasonic Plasma 37". Picture quality
has always been terrific on HD and pretty good on SD transmissions.
Just lately, however, I have noticed that many SD transmissions have been
very poor causing the plasma set to have difficulties in producing a good
picture. Examples are diagonal lines showing up as jagged lines.
Anyone else noticed this - or is my equipment deteriorating?

Actually not! My SD pictures have been pretty good recently.

That's got very little to do with the transmitted quality of the signals, and
quite a lot to do with the quality and computing power of the deinterlacer in
your plasma display.

True enough - but it's a fairly recent issue with my set-up - and Panasonic
are generally very highly regarded in relation to their picture quality and
image processing. That's why I bought a Panasonic in the first place.
