TV colours problem
Not sure if there is a better group for this but you guys are pretty
knowledgeable.
I have a Toshiba 36ZP48P (36" CRT) TV and the colours have suddenly gone a
bit weird. I can only describe it as looking at a photo on your PC with it
set to 16 or 256 colours, ie. the colours are correct but have lost their
smooth graduation and you can see borders (sort of like contours) between
one shade and the next. Its still vaguely watchable but rather annoying. I
assume its something to do with the signal processing, as it happens on all
inputs (including the analog tuner) except the YPbPr component input which
is still fine with a 480p signal.
I have read about scan converter problems with these TVs but the symptoms
seem to be quite different to mine. I suppose I could buy a Scart to
component converter for about £80 for my PVR but I'd rather get it fixed if
it is just a module as I like have the multiple inputs for video, xbox, etc.
Many thanks for any help,
Z

Actually, just found something similar on AVForums. Seems it could be the
DFS module.

Well I'm pretty sure its not the interface between the DFS and the remote
;-)
