One of my friends is heading off to Melbourne for the Cup (although he knows

Where can I get a list of runners for the Derby and the Cup so that I can 
glance over them?

Have you checked the trade papers? alternitively search M. Cup etc Australia 
?

Hmmm...  I'd checked the Racing Post, Sporting Life, Betfair (Timeform).

I was hoping for something in Racing Post, but another search turned up 
which helped, http://www.aapracing.com.au and then 
http://www.ozracing.net.au/OZRacing/viewfile.aspx?FileName=3110FLEM.DFA, but 
maybe http://www.australianracing.com (with a bit of searching) is the best 
that I can get.
