Rangers Owner
Just reading up on the BBC site about what WS has been saying about the club
and how the Bank is running the club etc and that he may leave in January
but is waiting until a new owner arrives to see what happens.I thought
though when DM left that a new guy had come in,wasnt that a new owner or was
that purely a club chairman without ownership?

Maybe there will be lots of revisionism since Murray is no longer his
brother's keeper, or what ever kinda jargon they use...

Where you young back then jonbhoy...? ;)

tbh I think the media loved us being in crisis in fufilled all the
tired old stereotypes as us as pawpers...the giro dome....we urnae no
the people...etc...but Spiers was laying it on abit thick in his match
report today...I think he called Rangers cheepo's...

I too am grateful that McCann stepped in...I'm not sure if he was a
genius...probably not...probably maybe a few wise
decisions...bankruptcy wouldnt have been so bad for us i think
though...someone else in the Celtic diaspora would have stepped in and
taken us to Seville etc....don't forget...we're the chosen people
Jonbhoy!...even old guys like us....;)

Bankruptcy would mean starting all over again in the junior leagues, or
alternatively everyone finds a new team to support, which I suppose would
most likely be Hibs.

I'm sure there must be a rich Rangers supporter somewhere who would take the
club over and bail it out, or alternatively they could sell shares to fans
like Celtic did.

Who are `they` who use said jargon?

They were talking about the fans taking over in the newspaper this
morning. David Edgar was cock-a-hoop about the prospect. Oh,
dear...you can imagine sensible gers are hiding behind the couch at
the prospect of that. Rightly so if the Rangers fans were running the
club, for example the Rangers Supporters Trust. Singing the Billy Boys
would be obligatory, rather than just an option, as against Hibs the
other week...

The tune being sung at games is a tune that is perfectly reasonably included on
official club cds - Don't try and tar our away fans with the brush that blemishes
your own away fans reputation.

And the "Greatest fans in the world bar the away support and a minority who support
terrorist organisations and Regicide, but we support them because they are an
oppressed people and we feel part of that oppression because my great great grampa
was Irish alledgedly" award goes to...
