Jock Teasers
I thought we were supposed to get Strachan today, but we have to wait
another 48 hours before his surprise appointment is sensationally revealed.

I'd rather have had Mowbray, but at least Strachan is a welcome
departure from the rookie managers we normally appoint. Take a look at
this list of big name managerial rookies, who enjoyed varying degrees of
success >

Charlton (1973–77) - Best ever rookie we had. I've met him BTW.
Murdoch (1981–82) - It had all turned shit by then. A Poison chalice.
Maddren (1984–86) - It was still shit during this great man's tenure.
Rioch (1986–90) - There'd be no Boro today without him. Vicky can blame
him for that. Most smogs would happily use his shit for toothpaste, and
rightly so.
Todd (1990–91) - Another great man, but it didn't work out.
Robson (1994–2001) - Never a dull moment at least?
McClaren (2001–06) - Nearly took us to Euro glory. We still don't talk
about that Final. He now wants to play in the "Champins Lig" apparently.
Southgate (2006–09) - He was a breath of fresh air after McClaren, but a
fart would've been TBH.
