University Challenge this week's bbc feminist infested question
Only one question - but how very pathetic.
"A researcher travels from Majorcia to Rome then *she* goes on to
Paris. What Greek letter does *her* journey represent?"
Pathetic isn't it. Notice it wasn't a drunken tart on holiday from
Halifax but a ... "researcher". Yes it prpbably was - travelling on
BBC license payer's money.
ps the place names have be changed to protect the innocent.

Mallorca.
License and licence are both correct (see OED).
It puzzles me why you get so agitato about these things, especially when
your corrections are so frequently mistaken.

In Spanish. In English it's Majorca. The Spanish 'll' being pronounced
as our 'y', as in 'you', hence the spelling difference. Whatever, it
most definitely is never 'Majorcia' which would be pronounce Ma-yorsia
or Ma-yorthia depending on where you came from in Spain.

They are but the BBC licence is the BBC licenCe. 'License' is a US
Americanism

They aren't in this case and I, unlike the idiots forever going on about
their British heritage and what constitutes Britishness, appreciate my
native language and do not like idiots abusing it or screwing it up.
