Standing on solid rock, this forever sacred ground.
Hear the voice of aborigines, the old and stunning sound
Thruming of the didg, amidst the laughing of the kookaburra
This new day on an old land, for which a wadgela burns.

And the wind whistles the chords of a change
Tapping of two sticks begins the beat of bodies
Singing from the dawn of time to somewhere
We descend into the painting of us perfect...

The Dreaming of the thunder in our hearts set free
A tale on our tongues we bounce a thousand lifetimes
And dance like the things we've seen to songs of praise
For we are the stolen generation left to trace our ancestors

Unfinished task to tame our tortures into nothing
To cleanse with fire and the smoke of tears
For so hard; these forty thousand years
We are surrounded by the dust that remains....
