I'm an atheist.  Not a red herring, my friend.  Anytime a religious
group controls the government, people get punished for not following
the laws of that religion.  Witch burnings, scientists burnings,
anyone who challenges the beliefs of that religion get burned or
dismembered.  Perhaps you haven't read history....
