Islam is a dinosaur in the age of mammals
source: http://www.islam-watch.org/WBruno/Islam-Dinosaur-in-the-Age-of-Mammals.htm

Tariq Ramadan, the famed "moderate” Muslim who has made deception of
non-Muslims into an art form, says the 21st century will see a second
role reversal between Islam and the West: The West will begin its new
decline, and the Arab-Islamic world its renewal and ascent to
centuries of world domination. Princeton historian Bernard Lewis told
Die Welt that Europe would be Islamic by the end of this century "at
the very latest". Robert Spengler of the Asia Times agrees. What if
they are all wrong? What if we state that Europe won’t be Islamic at
the end of the 21st century because Islam itself won’t be a force of
any significance a century from now?

There are few people of any stature who dare venture such a bold
assertion. Ali Sina, the Iranian ex-Muslim and founder of
faithfreedom.org, is one of the few who do. Sina has consistently
claimed that Islam is “a house of cards that will collapse if
sufficiently pushed”, and that we may see the end of Islam within the
next few decades. He has compared Islam both to Communism and Nazism,
claiming that it will either collapse as the former or be crushed as
the latter. These analogies are imperfect, and have rightly been
criticized by some. Communism was a recent invention, and a European,
materialist ideology not concerned with the hereafter. Islam carries
1400 years of history with it, and is deeply tied to the cultural
identity of hundreds of millions of people in a way Communism or
Nazism never were. However, Ali Sina may be on to something. I have
earlier predicted that what we are witnessing now is an era no less
crucial to Islam than the Protestant Reformation was to Christianity.
The difference is that Islam may not be flexible enough to handle the
challenge, and will disintegrate as a result. For instance, the entire
foundation of Islam is based upon female subjugation and male
dominance. The movement to grant equality to females will essentially
destroy Islam. Islam is quite simply too rigid to survive in a modern
world.

It is true that the West at the onset of the 21st century shows signs
of weakness and lack of direction. However, it is likely that the USA
in particular will retain its leading position for a very long time.
Europe does have deeper lying problems, and considering its many
Muslim immigrants may indeed face a turbulent and violent period. But
even Europe is far from incapable of renewal in the longer run.
Perhaps this Islamic threat is precisely the slap in the face we need
to regenerate and regain our sense of purpose. It is also true that
our status as the leading civilization is not given by nature. We will
be challenged during this century, but not by Islam. Our contenders
are not Muslims, but Asian non-Muslims, who display a dynamism far
beyond anything the Ummah can produce. The total nonfossil fuel
exports from the entire Arab world amount to less than the total
exports of Finland, a tiny infidel country of only 5 million
inhabitants. A United Nations report warns that a majority of Arab
young people want to leave their homelands in favor of the West. Is
that the hallmark of a culture at the brink of world dominance, Mr.
Ramadan?

Besides oil, the only thing Islam has going for it is extremely high
birth rates. This can be seen as an advantage as long as Muslims are
allowed to dump this excess population in non-Muslim countries and
dominate these through demographic jihad. If the non-Muslims should
decide to curb Muslim immigration, even the high birth rates would
turn into a curse. Islamic nations are already falling apart. At the
time when the oil revenues run out for Muslims states, India and China
may have had missions to the moon. The 21st century will not be an
Islamic century. Most likely, it will continue with a Western lead.
The alternative is some sort of power sharing between Western and
Eastern infidels. The Islamic world, stripped of its oil revenues and
no longer able to export its population growth to non-Muslims
countries, will hardly be a blip on the radar screen.

Ohmyrus, a member of faithfreedom.org, has given a good description of
the Islamic predicament in his essay “Once were warriors: Why Islam
failed Muslims”. Islam is a warrior’s creed that served its early
followers well. It prospered because its ethos makes it very
successful as a medieval war machine when men fought with swords, bows
and spears. From impoverished desert tribes, they rose to forge an
empire in a short time that stretched from Spain to India. The ethos
it engendered – brotherhood for believers, contempt and hatred for non-
believers, belief in heavenly rewards for fallen warriors, a high
fertility rate (which requires the subordination of women), blind
obedience – created formidable warriors. But these same qualities are
handicaps for Muslims in the age of the microchip. Islam’s ritualistic
practices inculcate blind obedience among its followers and not
questioning inquisitive minds. The way the Koran is taught in
traditional Madrassahs is by memorization. This leaves no room for
asking questions. Asking questions risks the student of being accused
of blasphemy or unbelief. Great scientists and philosophers do not
come from such a passive environment. Islam is specialized and tailor-
made for a society that no longer exists, and instinctively wants to
drag the rest of the world back to these “glory days”. It used to be
excellent for breeding soldiers, to plunder the lands of non-Muslims.
But even this gets increasingly difficult, in a world of advanced
technology.

Of course, even if Islam is collapsing as we speak, that does not mean
that it is nothing to worry about. On the contrary. There are few
things more lethal than a wounded beast, trapped in a corner. And that
is exactly what Islam is now. Worst case, it could be a very violent
collapse, if Islamic radicals manage to ignite a global war. Islam is
the Tyrannosaurus Rex of the 21st century. Once king and feared by
all, now sidelined by smarter and faster-adapting creatures in a world
it no longer understands. The old giant can still be dangerous,
lashing out with a vengeance against the new breed. Mammals, they call
them, these upstarters. It makes a lot of noise and may even succeed
in killing some of the ones unlucky enough to be standing in its way.
But terrifying as it may seem, it is destined to fail. This is the age
for big brains, not big but slow limbs. It will end its days in
museums, scaring kids of the future hearing tales about this big
monster which ones roamed the earth. Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaida are
but the last roar of a dying beast, a dinosaur in the age of mammals.

Typical Aussie slacker.

NO crocodile dedicates its entire being to the destruction of the
human race like the rabid Muzzie. Aside from some amazing barbies and
a lot of hail, Australians haven't really seen anything of anything in
their other-worldly Disneyland country so it's not surprising that the
theories spouted by so many of them are dripping in manure.

Quite easy for your average urban Australian (which is getting on for
100% of them) never to have seen a crocodile anywhere but in the
nearest municipalz zoo.

"Islamic finance rides the storm"
      The Age 11/10/2008

"A thriving financial sector sounds like an oxymoron
these days. Even Australia's banks - among the most
profitable in the world - kept a fifth of this week's
interest rate cut to cushion their margins. But there
is one sector that has tongues wagging in the hubs of
commerce: Islamic finance.

While the Western world's financial system has been
imploding, this small but rapidly growing share of
world capital has weathered the storm.

Sharemarkets in London and New York are a third off
their peaks. Dow Jones's Islamic financials index,
in contrast, rose 4.75 per cent in the most recent
September quarter and lost a modest 7 per cent in
the previous year.

Not only has the industry been resilient; it's also on
the cusp of serious expansion. It is growing faster
than any other subset of world banking, at 15 to 20 per
cent a year. The Economist estimates Islamic assets
under management are worth $US700 billion ($1000 billion).
This figure could hit $US1 trillion - about the
Australian sharemarket's current value - by 2010.

What's more, all this growth has come from a model of
lending that rejects interest payments and shuns
speculation and heavy borrowing."

     Halleluja!

Speculation has been ruinous in the West.

Greed has been the foundation of enormous disparities
in economic wellbeing, economic injustice, and instability.

"In short, Islamic finance bans some of the excess that
has brought the West's financial system to its knees,
and is looking wise indeed, or at least lucky.

Islamic finance takes its guidance from sharia.

The biggest markets are in the Middle East and Muslim
countries, but global banks have opened sharia-compliant
branches. Locally, the Muslim Community Co-operative
is one of a few lenders offering the service.

Justice, partnership and opposition to excessive risk
are the main principles guiding Islamic banks."

     Say that again.

"Outright speculation and dealing with any party that
has a balance sheet more than a third of which is debt
are forbidden, as are investments deemed unethical by
Islamic scholars, such as casinos.

But if these rules sound tough, the biggest difference
is a ban on interest.

Charging interest is immoral because it does not take
into account how changes in the value of the loan's
security can affect the borrower, sharia says. Home
owners who bought near the peak are now experiencing
this harsh reality: interest gives banks a steady payment
from the borrower, regardless of the property market's state.

However, profit is fine, and Islamic banks have devised
ways to make money from lending. Instead of demanding
interest, they buy the asset outright on behalf of the
borrower. The borrower pays off the loan (the principle)
and a fee for using the asset (rent, for example) until
the amount is repaid and ownership transfers to the borrower.

Just like mortgage-backed securities, the rights to loan
repayments can be sold as an Islamic bond, or sukuk.
But instead of a yield, the bondholder receives repayments
on the loan, and some rent. As a result, Islamic lenders
have not had to venture into money markets that have
recently blown up.

For depositors, putting your money with an Islamic bank
is more like being a shareholder. Rather than interest,
depositors get a cut of any profits.

Understandably, Western governments are casting around for
ideas on how to run a more robust financial system. But
what could they possibly learn from such a different approach?

Islamic finance's more prudent rules on debt look attractive
in hindsight. But more fundamentally, proponents say it
provides a better way to link the financial system to
the "real" economy.

Because Islamic banks keep ownership of the asset until
the loan is repaid, they have a greater incentive to make
sure borrowers do not bite off more than they can chew.
The bank shares in the risks of the entrepreneur but also
its failures, the argument goes.

I am not suggesting we switch to a lending system without
interest payments. But a big gripe emerging in recent
weeks is that finance has become out of whack with the
needs of the rest of the economy.

In the most extreme cases, it seems investment bankers
devoted themselves to developing inventive ways to get
higher bonuses rather than facilitating productive
investment. Islamic finance shows one way of ensuring
savings are put to more useful ends.

Some even say banning short selling of shares reflects
sharia thinking, because it stops traders dealing with
assets they don't own. "Banning short selling is one
of the decisive elements in Islamic finance, so it
seems almost that the conventional markets are looking
at the Islamic techniques, which so far did not play
any role in conventional markets," a financial journalist
from Dubai, Gerard Al-Fil, told ABC radio last month.

Sceptics say Islamic finance just dresses up Western
finance with different titles. It is also worth noting
that the system is not immune from creating bubbles,
although the method of lending makes it harder for
investors to pile in through debt. A conflict between
its religious goals and the goal of turning a profit
is another tension, The Economist notes.

Nevertheless, it is booming. High oil prices have
filled the coffers of Gulf states, and the region
is crammed with capital works projects in need of
funding. Muslims account for 20 per cent of the
world's population, but Islamic finance makes up
less than 1 per cent of world capital, suggesting
huge room for growth.

The Islamic bond market has tapered off in the credit
crunch, but this appears to be a blip. About $US14
billion in Islamic bonds were issued in the eight
months to August, down from $US23 billion in the same
time last year, but Standard & Poor's expects issuance
to hit $US25 billion next year.

This potential has not crept past Western banks unnoticed,
and many have fast-growing sharia-compliant arms.
London is vying to capture the market and has changed
its laws to allow the different property transfers
required for the lending. British media report growing
interest even among non-Muslims because of perceptions
that it is a more ethical approach to finance.

So expect to see more Islamic banks in years ahead as
global banks try to cash in on this growing field.
Given the present financial mess, the industry's
resilience only makes it harder to ignore."

Upset at the prespect of democracy?
Perhaps a strong leader who ignores trivial details like democracy and
the rule of law suits you better. One that knows the value of persecuting
a minority in the name of nationalism. Know anyone like that from history
Dougie?

I'm not an urban Australian. I saw a crocodile last week and there was a
news item about a 4m croc currently living near Hervey Bay, a favourite
holiday spot for thousands of Queenslanders. Get out an atlas and see how
close that is the the Queenslans State capital.

BTW the favourite food of crocodiles in Queensland is American tourists
marinated in a little of the local rum.

We even put up signs but they are sometimes too stupid for their own good

Vote for T.Rex!

Our tuatara is closer to the dinosaurs than the crocodiles are.
And the birds are the dinosaurs' descendants.

So Islam may be a squawking chook but watch out for its beak!

I don't go into Churches, mosques or synagogues and start saying nasty

Coexistance of other faiths doesn't exist in pislamic theocracies. ALL other
faiths are persecuted and/or outlawed in islamonazi theocracies.

By that argument, you would co-exist with Nazis, KKKers, and
communists?

You're just too gutless to admit the truth of what's staring you in
the face: Islam does not respect *you*, and islam will enslave or
exterminate *you*, your family, and your culture, just as soon as it
gets a chance.

And all your putrid apologism is going towards offering Islam that
very chance it needs to become ensconced here in Australia to start
chipping away at our civil society with the aim of replacing it with
an islamic theocracy in which non-muslims have no rights.

Already, the media is so overwhelmed by islamophobia that it does
their bidding: no free speech for critics of Islam, and endless
apologism and evasion about the true nature of islam and its strong
association with violence and crime.

I agree. Any social structure that believes a single unelected entity is
the supreme ruler is incompatible with democracy. Jews, Christians and
Muslims all believe that a single God is the supreme ruler and the only
function people serve in the power structure is to ensure this is
universally acknowledged.

Absolutely. People can think what they like. Its only when they start to
do stuff that adversely affects others I get upset.

Right wing nationalism will do the same, so will socialism, Christian
"democracy" and environmentalism. Given the chance most extremist groups
will try to enslave me and force their ideology down my throat. Thats why
I advocate mutual tolerance and non-interference unless the contrary
becomes absolutely necessary.

Are there any other freedoms other than freedom of religion you would
like to strip from our society?

Incidentally the political arm of the Assemblies of God currently hold
the balance of power in our political system. When can we expect to see
your articles denouncing their agenda?

You can speak out about Islam all you like here in aus.politics. You just
have to put up with the fact I'll be along later to set people straight
about what you are up to.

Have a nice evening.

That happened to someone just recently. He went down to the waters edge
at dawn to check his crab pot and never came back. Dinosours do exist in
the age of mammals and mammals have to tread carefully when they enter
the crocodile's territory.

That being said, all the Abrahamic religions have their problems in an
age of increasing secularism. Their canonical texts were written down
thousands of years ago and society has evolved considerably since then.

Islam, Christianity and Judaism still have a lot to offer though. Perhaps
we should just leave them to inhabit their own social environmental
niches in peace and tread carefully whenever we encounter them in the
wild.

My primary interest is aus.politics. We do have seperation of church and
State here, its written into our constitution. That allows us to tolerate
all the religions who believe their God is the supreme leader without
worrying about the theology in the slightest.

Other countries can make their own arrangements.

Like gang-raping hundreds of Sydney women, for example, on account of
them being nothing but "skip sluts" and "uncovered meat"?

Have you figured out the connection between observable globally higher
per capita muslim involvement in crime and the Koran, which advocates
crime, & the traditional muslim view that violence and theft committed
against non-muslims are not crimes, but *duties*?

> Incidentally the political arm of the Assemblies of God currently hold

You're talking about that Fielding idiot?

He only has the "balance of power" if Labor and Liberal choose to hold
positions either side of him.

Therefore, by definition, his "balance of power" only exists so long
as he holds some sort of centre ground. If he chose any sort of
extremist position he would render himself immediately irrelevant.

Please *do* ask me any more questions you might have about basic
politics in a democratic system such as ours - only too happy to
explain it to you.

I seem to remember they embarked on a war of expansion, trying to uniyte
all the Aryan people of Europe under one nation and exterminating everone
who didn't fit their idea of human.

When people advocate that kind of thing I tend to chip in my 2c worth.

If I come across an aspect of politics I don't understand I'll certainly
call you.

For instance, politics is the way in which people with diverse views
arrive at a common cause of action. It can be a power struggle, but more
commonly it is a process of mutual back scratching. One participant
promises support for something another participant really wants in return
for support for reciprocal support on another matter.

Please explain to me how a small Party is insignificant in this
environment when both major Parties need its support in order to achieve
success when the issue is opposed by the other major Party.

Extra bonus points will be awarded if you can explain how the GST
legislation made it through the Senate.

They do serve crocodile in restaurants here, but the closest I've ever
been to one without a fence in the way was about 20 metres. It was on the
bank of the Daintree River I was in a boat. Remember what I said about
mutual respect?

Raw Croc is pretty unappetising, and quite hard to chew. I like mine
flame grilled or fried after a Teriyaki (or similar) marinade.
Here ya go Wicks, another Addinall classic! ;-)

Addinall's Savory Crocodylus porosus

Bits to acquire.
1Kg crocodile tail
1/2 cup olive oil
4 tbsp. FRESH lemon juice
A few drops of Tabasco
4 tbsp. Teriyaki sauce.
2 tsp. fresh herbs, anything. Rosemary is a good start. THROW THAT
CORIANDER IN THE BIN!
1 FREE RANGE egg
1 tbsp. water
3 cups bread crumbs
4 tbsp. sesame seeds, toasted is good.
Course ground black and green pepper
salt (to taste)

If you are skinning and dressing your own croc, you are going to need
a SHARP couple of knives and a good steel. And strong wrists.
Cut crocodile into bite size pieces. Same size as a Chicken (bleh)
nugget.
Prepare marinade with oil, lemon juice, fresh herbs, salt and pepper,
Tabasco and Teriyaki.
Marinade the croc for two hours, stirring occasionally. Stick it in
the fridge.
Drain.
Dip pieces in beaten egg and water mixture.
Roll in breadcrumbs mixed with sesame seeds.
Cover, stick it back into the fridge and rest for one hour.
Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Serve with cold beer and a tomato/red onion salad. Pour a LITTLE
of the marinade in as a salad dressing.

YUM!

Ha! I got chased up a satellite dish by one up in Gapuwiyak!
http://www.abc.net.au/local/photos/2007/11/20/2096324.htm?site=darwin
(have a look around the rest of ya, I know David has seen the
territory)
You can just see the dish in one of the shots taken at the council
building. First downpour of the Wet. Up to knees in water,
the bastards will swim up the streets sometimes.

Big angry bugger it was!
It got chased off me by a local abo mate of mine who thought nothing
about yelling at it and bashing it with a broom. I was thinking more
in the lines of a M107!

I was up the Daintree a few weeks ago. Sure has changed since my
last visit. Someone needs to blow up that tourist boat painted a
garish
green and yeller, pretending to be a comic-book croc. And all the
fences
along the banks are a fucking pain to drive around.

Croc country is fine as long as you don't do too many stupid things.
Walking around half asleep or half pissed is a sure fire killer.
Annoying them in thier own turf is just plain silly, Oh yeah,
getting back to the point, visiting the territory of Islam with the
sole intention of shooting at them, is bound to upset a few.
Same as Crocodiles. Stop it.

Mark (the Indiana Jones of Network Computing) Addinall.

I realise you Septics haven't been on the winning side for a while, but
history shows the winning side is always the right one. After all, the
winning side gets to write the history.

Gee, this reminds me a lot of your islamonazi pig pals and what they're
doing in:

i. Lebanon (ethnic cleansing of infidels)
ii. Somalia (ongoing genocide of infidels and blacks)
iii. Bethleham (ethnic cleansing of infidels)
iv. Nigeria (burning down churches, killing/kidnapping Christians)
v. Kenya (burning down churches along w/their congregations)
vi. Phillipines (ethnic cleansing of infidels)
vii. Saudi Barbaria (successful ethnic cleansing of infidels)
