How on earth do you know 'everyone' knew except the Chinese? have you
done a fucking counting?  Don't just use 'everyone'...'all
people'  ...this sort of collective nouns to disguise your ignorance
in argument.  Everyone is not empirical unless you have done a survey
of everyone.
