Suggestion for mitigating heathrow aircraft noise over North London.
Hello,

I have been studying the Arrival charts for Heathrow and couldn't help
noticing that, when the winds are from the west, they route the majority of
the traffic over north and north-east London, including highly populated
areas such as hackney/highbury.

It seems to me odd, that they do not direct the traffic coming off both
northern stacks further to the East out over the less populated countryside
before bringing them in to join the approach out past Greenwich/Thames
estuary. This'd cause less disturbances to the majority of people.

It seems like a good solution, and why don't they do this, why do they bring
the planes in over the highly built up areas?

What do you think
..
Thanks
AQ
