Canadian election   
Just wondered whether the riding of Nunavut is the world's largest 
constituency ?

No. The largest single-member constituency is Kalgoorlie in the Australian 
Commonwealth Parliament. It covers most of the state of Western Australia 
outside of Perth. Nunavut is the second largest though. (Australian boundary 
changes seem set to alter this though and will leave Nunavut in the top 
slot.)

However there are some larger multi-member constituencies. The entire of 
Western Australia is a constituency in the Senate with twelve 
representatives and the Italian parliament has multi-member seats in both 
houses for expatriate voters that cover entire continents. The Africa, Asia, 
Oceania and Antarctica one is the largest.

Re: Canadian election   
Canada continues to demonstrate that FPTP does not guarantee that
anyone will get an overall majority. This is the third election in a
row to not produce an overall majority for anyone.
