Ah, the Blunkett Manoeuvre...

I suspect that the "think tank" is going to be the first key to the
outcome of the investigation, as by all accounts it does give a very
strong impression of being fake, and the whole thing a deliberate set-up
to effectively launder and funnel money to the Hain campaign -- and
beyond, by the look of it.

The second key factor is likely to be where all the money went, as it
seems highly improbable that more than a fraction of it went on the
Deputy Leadership campaign itself.

The matter has been, AIUI, referred to the Metropolitan Police.

OK, it isn't at a charge-laying stage, but it's still better, IMHO, 
not to speculate on what really happened. We'll all know soon enough.
