Of course I'm going to enjoy myself with stuff that kills brain cells,
rots your liver and drives you crazy. Why not? People do it all the
time, it's part of living.

I'll never stop having a few pints of ale or glasses of wine now and
again, or even a few glasses of Glenfiddich when the mood takes me
despite the massive damage that alcohol does to your brain cells and
liver. Tobacco kills nerve cells, damages your brain and causes lung
cancer amongst other things, but people still think it's worth having
a smoke. Good luck to them if that's what rings their bell. Not for
me, though, my only smoke nowadays is some nice Ganja. Lovely.

I suppose I could subsist on brown rice and lettuce leaves in a cave
in the Himalayas and live to be 190, but what's the point?

Life is a terminal condition anyway, so you might as well have some
fun while you're here, even if it will kill you in the end. And both
Glenfiddich and a bit of organic home grown are nice little life
enhancers that put a gilded edge on the process of living.

So cheers, I'll choose my poison and have fun my way, you go through
your life scared shitless of the pleasures of grape and barley and
whetever else people find their fun in. You might even live to be
190, you miserable old git, but to me it seems that you'd be just
drawing out the suffering.

Hey, dunno who shook your tree - but I LOVE alcohol in all its forms, I
even smoked dope for a few years, and have no gripe with anyone who
smokes it - let them get on with it. I smoked fags for 20 year too/

All that bugs me are the ones who try to justify ganja with this
bullshit that 'its good for you'. If they want it legalised, why don't
they just try "its a bit unhealthy, but we like it"..

Cures cancer - lol.

Exactly. I don't give a shit what booze and dope does to my innards. I
like them and I'm not going to stop because some health freak prudes
say they're not good for me. If you look at just about anything you'll
find it's not good for you.

It's because of the bullshit scare stories that need refuting. I've never
said it's good for, it just ain't that bad. Like Svenne, I've smoked it in
moderation for over 40 years.

I haven't got schizophrenia and nor have I.

OK, smoked cannabis is a little bit unhealthy because it leads to increased
bronchitis, but many people like it.

So far no-one has proven any ill effects from cannabis taken other ways,
though, although I know of at least one study that indicates daily cannabis
use is not good for people with HCV.

However, cannabis can be very good for people with HIV becuase it helps fight
AIDS wasting syndrome, and for people going through chemo because it fights
nausea and increases appetite, as well as being good for people with certain
other illnesses and conditions that are helped by cannabis.

>Cures cancer - lol.

Actually, there is some evidence that cannabis use lowers some cancer rates.

Several people with cancer who have used cannabis believe the cannabis helped
either shrink their tumors or prevent the cancer from spreading and there is
clinical evidence that it can do that for certain cancers.
