Not directly, but it shows how dangerous it can be.

ANYTHING can be dangerous. You can overdose on water.
Absent taking an overdose or mixing with CNS depressants or doing other things
that apply equally well to heroin or other opioids, I'm not aware of any study
or data that shows that methadone is inherently more dangerous than heroin.
And neither are particularly dangerous if one is careful to not overdose and
not mix with CNS depressants.
