It is interesting to note that one of the UK Government alcohol warning
films shows a drunken climbing up a tower and thinking he can fly.

I read that the person who jumped to their death was a soldier in the
US military, who had been spiked without his approval or even
awareness that it was happening, and jumped because he thought he was
going mad, not because he thought he could fly.
