Re: Republic Awakening In USA
In the 1500s, Henry 8th wanted a divorce. The Pope refused, so it
became a "tradition" in Britain to disagree with anything the Pope
said.

Other members of the Tudor Royal Family would not "disown" the Pope,
so Henry 8th had effectively destroyed the House of Windsor by
disinheriting all his relatives.

Priests were forced to leave the Catholic church. If they did not,
they were killed. Many Catholics harboured priests in their homes.
There can be found large numbers of old buildings with "priest holes",
in Britain. These are secret places behind the wall panels, under the
stairs or under the floorboards where priests used to hide.

The big obsession was "Popism", "Popery" and other words invented as
terms of abuse. ANY religion would now be tolerated, as long as it was
not Roman Catholic.

Henry's older daughter, Elizabeth (the First), was brought up to hate
the Pope. Her half-sister Mary was brought up in Catholic France. The
Presbyterian church was encouraged in Scotland, because the Scots were
reluctant to leave Catholicism. A James Stuart (also spelt "Stewart"
or even "Steward") was brought up Presbyterian.

Mary Queen of Scots returned to Scotland, but felt her life was in
danger so she fled to England. She believed her sister, now Queen of
England, would protect her. However, after about ten years, Elizabeth
felt it was unsafe to give her half-sister any further protection. She
felt obliged to have her killed.

This then is the background - a hatred of Popes and sister killing
sister.

Also at this period, Martin Luther had translated the Bible into
German. Tyndal had thought this to be a good idea. He met Luther,
translated the Bible into English, and had it printed at Wurms. On his
return to England, Tyndal was burned at the stake for daring to
translate the Bible.

Henry the 8th had decided than any relative could be King as long as
he was anti-Pope. He therefore took the Tyndal Bible and published it
with few changes as his own - the Henry 8th Bible. The English "Church
of Divorce" had now become similar to the Lutheran "Church of
Translation".

On the death of Elizabeth, it was decided by very dubious logic that
James Stuart should be the King of England. So it was this
Presbyterian King who took the Henry 8th Bible and had it translated
into the very flowery language of the King James Bible. That version
survived for centuries until the recent Elizabeth 2nd Bible, the "New
English Bible".

The preoccupation with Popery did not stop. The economy was being
wrecked by the many wars against Catholic powers. The son of King
James, Charles the First, found himself at war with Parliament. He had
no principles - other than his determination to win. The end, to him,
justified the means. So, when it suited him, he enlisted the aid of
Catholics to help him fight Parliament. This lost him the support of
the public. After many, many confused battles and intrigues, he fell
into the hands of Cromwell's New Modern Army. He was beheaded.

For eleven years, 1649 to 1660, Cromwell ruled over the English
Republic, as "Lord Protector of England". However, economic disasters
and plagues made the Puritan regime unpopular.

All the time, there were people in the background asking how far they
should go in their opposition to the Pope.

Christ healed the sick. Surely, one should persecute the sick?
Christ said you should love one another. Surely you should hate one
another?
The law punishes you for doing wrong. Surely it should punish you for
doing right?
..........

This is reversed morality. This is Freemasonry.

By 1712, it got into the House of Stuart (after the reinstatement of
the Monarchy under Charles 2nd). The last legitimate Stuart, Queen
Anne was now on the throne. He husband, the King and her son the Crown
Prince were both dead.

Male members of the Royal house was pushed into crime. Then they were
blackmailed with riots, if the public got to hear of those crimes. So
they obeyed their masters and committed worse and worse crimes. Masons
have a system of DEGREES. They get worse by degree.

The Royal Family had become puppets of the Masons, afraid of exposure
and therefore willing simply to obey.

There has never been democracy in Britain since 1712.

The Grand Lodge of England was set up in 1717. Then Masons poured out
into Europe via France. Pope Clement 12th got to hear of their crimes
and wrote "In Eminenti" - valid for EVER - condemning Masonry. Seven
more Popes followed.

Riots broke out in France. There were heads chopped off and put on
sticks. The French Revolution. It was savagery. It continued like this
worldwide, until September 11th at the World Trade Center.
