Grrrrrrr
x-no-archive: yes
Most of my grocery shopping can be done at any supermarket, and I
usually visit the one that's most convenient. However some items are
substantially better or only available at one particular chain and I
maintain a 'wish list' for when I'm going out of my usual way.
At the weekend I took the opportunity to visit ASDA to purchase the
items which they do best. However, having filled their store with aisle
upon aisle of Christmas stuff, normal groceries had been scrunched up
and several lines dumped. Guess which products they no longer sold - the
ones I particularly wanted!
When I rule the world, any supermarket chief who tries to sell Christmas
stuff more than three weeks before Christmas will be lined up against
the brick wall along with politicians and social workers.

You never get it delivered? Beats the cost of a taxi for me. Absolute
godsend.

I like to choose my own fresh fruit and veg rather than have them
randomly chosen by the supermarket staff. Also I like to raid the
selling-off counters.
I always try to kill at least two birds with one stone, so even though I
drive to the supermarket it's on the way to or from somewhere else.
I have to admit that I'm getting more and more tempted by home
deliveries though :(

i use to buy about 6 months worth of pasta and dried/canned produce
using the delivery system at tesco. i decided, or it was decided for
me, that i should stop that and just face tesco's... not sure if that
was wise or not, as when i get confused i don't react to any lists in my
pocket, nor do i understand that i should, if that makes sense...
