..just heard some great news....
----We are to become Great-Grandparents, first time for us!! Grandson and
his lovely wife came straight to see us from the hospital bringing a scan
photo, couldnt wait to go home for his meal, hadn't eaten all day.. They
live only about a mile from here, and were on the way home. So we have the
privilege of being the first to have a *photo* ! Due in 3rd week of May

Congratulations! It's a strange old high-tech world, isn't it, when you
can have a photo of your child/grandchild/great-grandchild six months
before they've even been born. :)

Are you both feeling better?

Oh, Marg, I know your joy!
The young parents can't know what joy a great-granny gets from having her
own scan photo:-)
They think it's a lovely thing to give you but, honestly, they cannot get
any idea of how lovely it is and what great-granny feels.
My granddaughter did the same thing for me and I found myself looking at it
at regular intervals during the day - and that went on till he was born!
The pride and happiness of expecting another generation and having a picture
of the little one is immense.
I only hope your new addition to the family turns out as gorgeous as my
great-grandson has turned out to be.
He gives us endless joy :-)
Keep looking at it and keep feeling the happiness it gives you - and
congratulations on producing 3 generations :-))

I am fine, thanks, Marg - do not have to wear my calipers anymore -
something I was told would never happen again. So am riding high at
present - and over the moon :)
The steroid injection I had last October not only worked - it is still
working, hence the reason I can do without my calipers :)

You take care

It's an odd and strange feeling isn't it Pam as I used to have that happen
to me when I was a teenager and I remember only too well what it felt like!.

It's probably the stupid brain that can't send/receive messages to/from the
area, Val, cos I feel nothing, literally nothing.
I usually find it has gone out sometime during the day once I get into bed -
I know cos my legs will be out straight but the knee is sitting sideways as
is the foot.
That's when I give Ray a yell and he puts it back for me before I go to
sleep.
Sometimes he'll look at me sitting in my chair and tell me the leg needs
putting back so I lean back and let him :-)
It's probably this dislocating that makes some patients resort to a
wheelchair but we've put it back on a regular basis so it doesn't get stuck
like that.

I feel sorry for you as a teenager, hopefully your friends didn't rag you
about it.

I don't remember anyone ragging me but the problem didn't last long as I
grew out of it - strange tho.
