SPOILERS FOR NEIGHBOURS, 31-04 SEP'09 (5721-5725)


Libby fears no.30 will be hit next, so she makes Daniel & Jarrod ramp
up their security. Meanwhile, Karl loses his temper with Paul, who reacts
by hiring a huge bodyguard to protect Susan. Zeke feels that he shouldn't
leave his family at a time like this, and in the stress of fearing he'll
lose his girlfriend instead, tells Sunny that he loves her - without any
reciprocation from her. Paul writes an article to swing the community
behind the Kennedys, but the hospital board cancels the surrogacy.

Whilst Libby shouts at Elle for a sympathetic article she did not
write, Daniel reacts to Steve's baby photos by reminding him that Bridget
is adopted. Zeke feels isolated at no.32 though laid-back Stephanie makes
him welcome, as long as he & his friends clean up after themselves. Nobody
at the hospital will dare talk to Dr.Kennedy for fear of dismissal, but in
private he learns it was Brian Rode who's stopped Libby's IVF treatment -
so he writes an article for Elle to print, MY FAMILY'S FIGHT: THE TRUTH.

Daniel is angry at Karl taking their story to the newspaper, but Libby
is moved by him risking his career for her. Upon bringing their baby home,
Bridget & Declan name her India after all their hopes for the future. When
Jarrod represents the Kennedys against Tim Collins for the hospital board,
his emotional involvement causes him to stumble & fail. Susan is aghast to
find her & Karl's box of sex toys got sold at the school fete, and Rebecca
shyly returns it. Libby has no choice but to fire Jarrod from the case.

India has lungs of steel, and her parents won't ask their parents for
help. Paul arranges for the Ramsay kids to receive Jill's inheritance as
a trust fund, but Harry angrily regards it as Robinson guilt money. Steve,
Lucas & Lou persuade Jarrod to stop stressing about Rocky pooping onto the
carpets, and prepare a case against the hospital which Libby cannot refuse.
Miranda has no experience with babies, but her soothing voice soon stops
India crying. Lucas catches Harry breaking into no.28 - again.

Harry tells a very understanding Susan he's been trying to steal a
piano keyboard which Karl got before him at the fete. Stephanie massages
Lucas's shoulder as he lies about his pains. Steve manages to sing India
to sleep, but spoilt brat Mickey starts her screaming again as he doesn't
get enough attention. When Susan asks Harry to play the keyboard, he cries
over his mother's favourite tune. Stephanie comes to the garage, finding
Lucas playing poker with local badass Johnno Brewer & his gang.

When Thursday's episode was shown in Australia, some fans couldn't see
why Paul made sure that Jill's children received her inheritance, yet a
few weeks before he tried to stop it. However that was never true. Other
people (especially Elle) ascribed such a motive to Paul; but actually he
feared Jill would reopen family wounds caused by his parents cheating on
each other. In any case, she was entitled to a share from Helen's money,
while his own wealth was built up himself in the hotel industry.

As for the baby's name, India Napier was an early Australian motor car.
