The Holy Roman Empire was killing anybody who was not Christian. There
was burning at the stake, the Inquisition, the Crusades....

Henry the Eighth was excommunicated because he had sex before marriage
with Anne Boleyn, and married her against the wishes of the Pope.

Henry could not re-enter the church, so it was inevitable that some
religious zealot would kill him. His only hope was to get as many
people excommunicated as he could. Then there would be vast numbers of
people opposed to the Pope and his Holy Roman Empire.

He sent out his soldiers to force priests to worship the devil. Many
fled to sympathisers, who built "priest holes" into their homes, for
priests and monks to hide in. Vast numbers were killed, but many did
indeed obey Henry's wishes, and worshipped the devil.

A sinister cult, therefore, of DEVIL WORSHIPPERS, was developing in
Britain. It would soon contaminate the whole world.

Agents were sent out into Europe, to spread devil-worship in the hope
that there would be so much chaos that the Holy Roman Emperor could
not raise armies for a crusade against England. After the death of
Henry and of Elizabeth the First, British agents in France were called
"Jacobeans". French people who had been corrupted were "Jacobins".
