The word 'flacktoid' does not exist. You evidently intend it to mean
something that it doesn't. That's Humpty Dumpty English.
In case it's of any interest to you, my spelling checker suggests that
the word you're malaproply missing by a mile could be 'factoid'. I'd not
come across the word before but it seems to have a meaning appropriate to
the context in which you don't use it.

Being paid well for doing something is no evidence of how good at it you
are. Look at Dan Brown, for example. Or Gordon Brown, for that matter. I
also recall you once commenting that you made no claims to being good at
English and that you let editors worry about tidying it up. Your opinion
of your abilities seems to have become more inflated since then.

You do have a high opinion of yourself, don't you.

You do have a /really/ high opinion of yourself, don't you.

You do have an *extraordinarily* high opinion of yourself, don't you!
Do you really think that anyone cares enough about you to hate you? What
a sad, pompous ass you are.

From my position in the public gallery, you seem to be doing a passable
impression of one who does Jon. Just why do you continue to respond to his
jibes?

The moment one resorts to personal insults, the argument is lost. I know
because I've been guilty of it far too many times myself. Good fun though
isn't it ;o)

Sounds like a firm of legal beagles. "Have you been the subject of an
insult, libel or slander? Just contact Apt and Witty Solicitors (Claims
Department). We will make a claim on your behalf and we guarantee 100%
settlement ... yes, we'll take it all for ourselves. Remember our slogan
'When you're in the shitty, call Apt & Witty' ".

Oh it's not that bad James. In a couple of decades of ice melt and the rate
of declination along the south coast, Chichester will be totally submerged
in the sea ... problem solved. Simples!

It's not worse than I can imagine, but it's pretty bad:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/6542083/Grandfather-arrested-for-using-swear-word.html
"The 67-year-old was woken at 5.35am when officers knocked on his door
in connection with a single swear word which he used six days earlier."
It's Cambridge, so I suppose it's OT really...
