Hmmmmmnn.. (growling sound). Pretty dreadful, really. Tinkly, 'ethnic'
music, small low resolution still images, clichéd transition effects.

That's just *my* opinion of course. My efforts at Scottish scenery,
specifically the Scottish Highlands, can be found here:
<http://www.henniker.org.uk/html/highland.htm>
which is the first of 17 Highlands pages.

Like some others who lurk or post here, I don't live in the Highlands,
but to quote Bob Dylan, my heart's in the Highlands.

Dave.

Your photography is very good. I wouldn't use YouTube except for
actual video. One query: The picture called The Howe seems to me to be
a view of the Pentland Hill from the top of Allermuir, facing south
west. I've just checked my Pentlands maps and can't see any reference
to The Howe.

How(e)ever ;o) I've just googled and found:
"A walk up to the Howe (to the west of Loganlea Reservoir)" on this
page:
<http://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/phrp/geology/geology.html>

...so, I stand corrected! I'm surprised my Harvey's Superwalker map
doesn't mention The Howe - and neither does my Bartholomew map.

BTW I'm just a humble amateur and can't offer any professional
opinions.

regards Dave.

Re: Something on the lighter side
Hi Dave,
like your self i've been taking pictures as an ameture for many years,
traveling from Edinburgh
th the highlands as often as i can, in my opinion if you go to the right
place you cant take a bad one ,
and for a while i've had your page bookmarked as i like the social
documentry that goes with your photos,
having learnt a lot of local history from your captions, keep up the good
work

Cam...

p.s.
The Howe is the name of the house at the end of Loganlea res,

This guy goes into a restaurant and looks over the menu.
After a few minutes, the waitress comes to the table and asks the guy what he'd like.
The guy says, "I'd like a quickie".
The waitress flushes and says, "That's not funny, sir. Now, what would you like to order?"
The guy says, "I'd really like a quickie".
The waitress slaps him hard and storms off angrily.
Another customer, overhearing the conversation, leans over and says to the guy, "Um, I think that it's pronounced 'quiche'."

Joey's teacher sent a note home to his Mother saying, "Joey seems to be a very bright boy, but spends too much of his time thinking about sex and girls."
The Mother wrote back the next day, "If you find a solution, please advise. I have the same problem with his Father."
