Weâll get statue no matter what. Can you spare a small donation to this worthy Merseyside cause

Weâll get statue no matter what
Liverpool Echo
Weâll get statue no matter what
At their peak, more than 20,000 horses worked on the streets of Liverpool.
During World War Two, carters and their horses maintained the vital link
between the docks and the city, keeping food and raw materials moving during
the most difficult of times.
But by the 1950s, horsepower was largely replaced by petrol-driven wagons.
It is hoped the memorial will stand on a spot at Albert Dock.
The grand-daughter of a carter has already backed their appeal with a cash
donation. Ellen Cullen, of Knotty Ash, donated £50 towards the statue.
Anyone who would like to make a donation should visit

Liverpool Carters Horse Monument Fund, PO Box 136, Town Row, Main Post
Office, Liverpool L4 5W2.

Plenty of "Capital of Culture" money left over - no one has been able to
fully
itemise what the millions were spent on. Apart from altering traffic around
the
city centre to cause congestion and force people to drive towards the new
shopping centre and flats no one can sell now!
The words Culture and Liverpool don't really go together when you consider
the
gangs and lager swilling kebab munching fat people who choose not to work.
Make sure IF you donate that *ALL* the money goes towards the item and
that the people collecting do not have any interest in the manufacturing
company.
There are far too many companies registered as a charity now to cream off
the donations and make a great living.

I assure you ALL money donated has and will go to the LWHMF and mainly by
pensioners, ex carters and people who are on very low incomes. How much
have you donated?. Probably nothing I suspect. However if you want to make
a donation instead of miserable, bad mind comments here is the address. Do
something positive for the city`s heritage for once in your life.
