Asset stripping UK
Gordon Brown seems to be playing the last few aces he has up his sleeve. He
has finally decided that if he wants to win the next election he absolutely
needs to keep the Diversity outreach officers in their 80K jobs. He would
rather sell off priceless assets like the channel tunnel link ( prepare to
pay about thrice to go across the channel now) than cut the public sector
costs which frankly are mind boggling.
A report suggests that public sector workers got a pay rise of 4% this year
whilst the private sector employees had to deal with job loss and about 10%
pay cuts.
If you love this country go out and lay siege to 10 Downing street if they
decide to sell off the country's assets.

Does anyone know what a Diversity Outreach Officer does? At £80k I fancy
that as a second job. A bit like those MPs who in addition to their job in
Parliament earn the odd £30k here and there for a morning's work as a
jobsworth director for some bank or FT100 company.
Addressing your serious point and a matter of interest to ulk posters,
subPrime Minister Brown included the Dartford Toll in his list of flog off
assets. What he has conveniently forgotten is the tolls already collected
paid for the crossings years ago yet are still being charged, contrary to
what we were promised at the time, and flogging it off is akin to giving a
private company a money printing machine. But then printing money is about
the only thing he is good at!
Brown would save serious amounts of money if he applied himself to sorting
out MoD procurement which has, according to the long awaited investigation
into it, wasted £35billion! No minister will resign of course. We will have
to wait another 7 months for them to be thrown out. That is another 7 months
for them to wreak havoc on the economy and population.

You do that mate. You are just fine where you are, drinking Stella at your
local pub from 9 am in the morning, queing up at the post office to collect
the dole and indulge in some yobbery to show that you mean business. You are
just fine.

Thanks for pointing out the mistake. Dartford tunnel is in my opinion a
total scam and just goes to show that when the Govt levies any kind of tax
they only ever increase it. The staff at the tunnel crossing are very rude
too. Of course it costs cash to hire employees to man the booths ( bet they
are all on 50K each). If they stop the tolls how will they pay these
employees their salary, pension and bonus ?
Having said that, France has tolls at every corner and in that respect the
UK is much better.
Same goes for the new Broadband tax. Why the fuck should I pay my cash so
some pensioner in a remote scottish island can surf the internet faster ?
50P today and 5 pounds in a couple of years time.

I'm retired! Comfortably off.
No need to que anywhere. Paid into my bank.
I shop online.
I only drink straight malts!
I also, for your education, smoke Cohibas!
Yobbery!!! The only yob action I take is to troll
silly, pompous cunts like yourself in various news groups.
I should get a mention in Her Birthday Honours list for that.
If you really want the barricades manned, do it yourself.
Don't make bullets for your other fellow half-wits to fire.
Thankyou, for giving me the opportunity to take the piss!
Tiddles.
PS Don't address me as "mate".

You did not make a mistake. He is selling off the Channel Tunnel Link and
the Dartford Toll. And the Tote and the Student Loan Book, the latter being
the absolute limit in my opinion seeing as he had free university education.
Having said that, I am not sure if university is classed as education
anymore.
