Freedom Passes   
There is a petition at http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/FreedomPasses/ 
campaigning for 24 hour Freedom Passes on public transport for all 
pensioners, not just those in Greater London.

What a stupid idea.  With the economy in free-fall, pensioners, some of
whom are rather well-off, are to get free public transport?
