The meeja did cover it quite fairly actually. However the story soon
disappeared off their web site:-)

Never mind "pete" I am sure when you commit your next criminal offence 
it will be reported and you can have your 3 minutes of fame. Or perhaps 
the Star had complaints about the photograph like, "who is that ugly 
bastard?"
