Looks like a very nice motor.
I imagine that your contact details were removed:
a) to protect you from scammers,
b) to protect eBay from you making an off-list sale and avoiding their
fees.
If it were an auction, I would be interested in bidding, but not paying
the asking price, nor having a suitable part-exchange.
Good luck.

Yep 8k should just about cover your fines and costs turd heap

be aware of what he is before handing over any money.

Who on earth would want to buy a car that's been used on dogging trips
by a self confessed paedophile? Getting ready for a heavy fine on 3rd
Sept are we "pete"?

Thanks Misha. I don't understand why they done it as there are no fees
due however I sell it. I paid up front and there is no more due
whatever happens. I notice some motor traders have their detail on
show. With my add only folks who sign on with e-bay can ask me a
question such as where can I see the car. If I had known they would
strip out my details I would not have placed the ad. If you want to
make me an offer don't do it on Usenet but mail me or phone me as it
has to go to make room for another VWT4 van.

I cannot get the link to open but I know what you mean as I have also
seen phone numbers and e-mail details published. It must be something
to do with their rules that I do not understand and don't have the
time to read either. I have been out in the sticks around Colchester
today to get a van but it had sold before I got there.

Might be my error :-(
I posted it as:
<
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1950-Austin-K8-Threeway-Coach-Only-1-on-the-Road_W0
QQitemZ310075278377QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item310075278377&_trkparms=39:1|66
:4|65:3|240:1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14>
with a line break after the leading "<".
The original still works for me, though.
Enclosing URLs in "<" and ">" usually prevents them from line-wrap
damage (unless using a web-reader?).
Saves the extra step and possible spoofing of using tinyURL.
>but I know what you mean as I have also
>seen phone numbers and e-mail details published. It must be something
>to do with their rules that I do not understand and don't have the

I sympathise, having only bought and sold a few things there.
I have considered selling some old vinyl LPs - original 1960's stuff -
but there's the hassle of packaging and postage and they generally don't
seem to fetch a very good price.
Maybe only $10 USD for relatively rare ones :-(
A couple of years ago, I received £3 each from a local (Tiptree?)
collector and didn't have to list a finger - just my drinking elbow :-)

Yes I know what you mean. I have loads of stuff (a bedroom full) but I
just do not have the time to sort it out and go through all that
postage stuff. My wife and daughter had a garden sale in aid of

A couple I places I have worked at (Chesham and Aylesbury) had sales of
office equipment (before I was made redundant!).
I bid £51 for a Xerox laser printer that had a habit of setting fire to
the paper - this was in early 1990's - thinking that someone else might
bid £50.
It sold for £52.
I admit that there are smarter people than me around :-(
I had a biography of John Lennon by Cynthia to sell.
Cheapest on Amazon was 99 pence, so listed at 98p. and sold it, but even
though I got some re-imbursement of postage, It was not worth the hassle
:-(
All good for the feedback and experience, though!

Again too much hassle. I just do not read posts from new names. I have
very little time to spare for Usenet these days and if I am not
interested in the initial post or subject the thread doesn't get read

Eight days and no offers "pete"? Could it be because of your reputation
for using this motor on dogging trips, visits to strange places and
numerous nefarious activities?
No matter "pete", I am sure the Lotto Funding people will give you a

You may snip the "about using E-Bay at all." qualifier.

I read the thread(s) about your use of eBay and the cost of advertising
in the local paper.
Did the car sell?
If not, or for future use, it might be worth looking at Gumtree:
I am _not_ connected in any way, except as an infrequent subscriber, but
it did get me some lucrative tenants a couple of years ago.
A locally focussed/targeted service has some merit for vehicles,
property, etc, where people may not be willing to travel far.

I have never advertised on Gumtree to sell anything. The car isn't
sold yet but it still has sometime to run on ebay.

No surprise there then "pete"? After all, who in their right mind would
buy that gas guzzler from a self confessed paedophile? Known to Ipswich
Police, you are on a non-starter "pete".
