The youth of today...
should be ashamed of themselves:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lincolnshire/7082401.stm
I know this memorial from my childhood and what they have done is
nothing short of mindless vandalism at its worst.
Recently my local church was desecrated by vandals, they set fire to
pews and the alter, shattered stained glass windows that were over 100
years old.
For what purpose or reason? It's high time these yobbos were sorted out
and taught to respect old school values. Maybe it's a sign of getting
old but I do find the youth of today, nasty, violent, abusive and
uneducated. And that's just the chav females.
Bah!

I agree up to a point - but there ARE some decent kids around - it`s just
that the yobbos are more noticeable. I have six grandsons who have all
grown up into fine young men, and gave no problems.

None. But I don't agree with all young people being assumed to be feckless
because of the actions of a few.

OK, so I will accept there are *some* decent kids around but amongst
many people I know locally, I can count these on one hand.
The point I was trying to make is: when I was a child we were taught to
respect the Church, the Police, Older People etc. This just does not
happen with the majority of today's kids.
Fair enough, the Police have become nothing more than "pen-pushing
social workers" but why abuse someone just because they are old? Or for
that matter, why desecrate a Church? One day these little sods might be
grateful for somewhere to bury their parents (assuming they know who
they are), get married (oh yeah?) or need help from the Police if their
own rug-rats are attacked.
Pat P, you are one of the lucky ones and speaks volumes about you as a
parent and grandmother.

That is simply not true.
The hoodlums are the ones who get noticed, that's why the impression is that
all young people are hoodlums.
