Turtill gets weirder by the day
Read this quote from Peter Turtill and wonder at his mental state. He's
out on bail for committing criminal damage to gates and locks on Ipswich
Docks and in other parts of Ipswich.
<quote>
"It is not acceptable of course. It is using bail as a control or
punishment. I have been on bail for months because I have not
committed an offence so the CPS cannot charge me. Instead my bail
keeps on being extended and when I asked if I could carry on
protecting PRoW by removing obstructions I was warned that would be
taken very seriously and could end up with me being remanded in
custody awaiting a charge or no charge. That is not right of course
but that is the way it works unfortunately".
</quote>
Of course Turtill is completely innocent, he is a law abiding citizen
who doesn't have a blog with photographic evidence of his crimes, not
does he brag about his criminal activities on Usenet.
Furthermore, neither does he threaten to sue Anglo-Norden Forestry
Products Limited, even though they are in the right and his knowledge of
the Law is on a par with that of a yak.
Might I also say that Peter Turtill has never published other peoples
personal details online, nor has he had sex with 13, 14 and 15 year olds
both in the UK and Bangkok.
Oh look! There's a herd of pigs flying over Beatty Road Ipswich. Gosh!

Ummm...isn't bail after someone is charged but before the hearing to
decide innocence or guilt?
The alternative to actually putting someone on remand. And usually
having some conditions attached, such as staying in a certain area or
country and informing police if going anywhere.
If he's on bail then CPS will often already have all they need.

actually bail is also used when the police are investigating
if you have committed a crime,
for instance if they think there is evidence of wrongdoing
on your computer. they will arrest you and take your
computer for forensic examination. you will then be released
on bail, quite often with no restrictions on where you go.
then when they have the results back they either discharge
you from bail, or charge you to go to court.

Or if - for instance - a person should claim to be shagging under aged
kids (in this country mind not Bangcok)then turtill, oops SORRY!
'someone' might be on bail while this very serious matter is looked
at with a view to bringing charges.

In this particular circumstance I was arrested and held in the cells
for 6 hours where I caught up with some sleep. The cops then said I
could go if I would accept a caution but I refused a caution and so I
was released on bail while the CPS decide what to charge me with. I
have been back to the cop shop twice now to be charged which is what I
want to happen but each time my bail has been extended and still I
have not been charged with anything.

Having read this page -
http://www.cjsonline.gov.uk/defendant/Bail/index.html
it looks like the CPS are gathering evidence against Peter Turtill,
possibly from third parties and/or actual witnesses of his crimes.
Considering that he is also subject to a "Contempt of Court Order", one
could say Peter Turtill is sailing pretty close to the wind. Fingers
crossed lads, he may soon be banged up.

Without wishing to get involved with the various personality clashes in
here, I would say the police have taken sensible steps to prevent Mr
Turtill doing more damage and carrying out further acts of criminal
damage, in what appears to be a vendetta against Ipswich Borough Council
and others.
If he is upset or angry with their (the police's) decision then surely
all he has to do is ignore the warnings and carry on with his
obstruction removing activities? That will prompt some action.
