Saxon King/Horten 25 Sep 09
http://orly.selfip.com/DISK%201/Jam%20Session/Rambling%20on%20my%20mind.mp3

with burning fingers and a cold, at the Sunday jam, I got through this. It's interesting how this song differs with each different
band.

Same night. Orly and his band on Sunday Jam Session, jammed their way to a lovely ending of this song.

Sounds great! Music's a great way of taking your mind off pain, I find. Why
did it stop so suddenly in the middle of the guitar solo, though?

Ooh that's lovely. That'll be one I listen to again for sure!

I know. I think that's why I get deppressed too, when we are not creating anything.

Why

Because they had never played it before. Just jamming, finding out what was going on when they came to it. Jam.

Yeah, I was thinking to myself, they're nearing professionalism.

Yeah, I know that, but it sounded like the recording device had just been
switched off suddenly in the middle of it. Even when you're jamming you
don't all stop suddenly, at the exact same moment, in the middle of a
phrase!

Oh yes, I agree. Do they make any CDs to sell to their fans? It's so easy
and cheap these days, after all - no recording studios required - and I know
Orly can do this stuff like falling off a log. I can think of a local blues
band here with a good following of fans (The Olly Allcock Band, actually)
who work hard, playing local gigs all over the place, and make CDs quite
regularly which they sell at gigs (and probably elsewhere). I could see
Orly's band doing that sort of thing. I'd buy a copy, for sure!

Steve has just been listening to "Fragile" and likes it. He can't remember
who recorded it originally - can you help? (Mind you, he'll probably have
looked it up by the time you reply!)

Not necessarily. It could be the album 'Fragile' by Yes, an album so
devoid of excitement that it could have been recorded by Abba. I saw
Yes back in the early 1980's in Leicester when they were joined by the
group Buggles, it was truly dreadful particularly when they started to
do 'Video Killed The Radio Star' and were rounded on by a gang of
progressive rockers who believed that this was an affront to the
groups 'thinking mans Genesis' status. I just thought it was crap.
Oddly I downloaded every Yes album from Itunes several years ago and
can honestly say that I have listened to only a handful of tracks,
they sound so dated now.

Nostalgic regards,

Lou

I haven't heard it, Rex but now I know what to say when they ask me what I would like for Christmas. I usually say canvas. I used to
say nylon tights and stationary. Never got em.

Haven't heard it, but I like the way he sings, so this sounds like it might
be interesting. I'll see if Amazon have any samples I can listen to.
