Thanks, Jp.

I had a heavy day, yeserday. I removed the timbers that the
cold watertank used to sit on, replaced all the fibreglass that
had been taken up and strewn about during the previous owners'
various wiring and plumbing jobs, and fetched down a kitchen
door and a home sun-tanning thing. The attic is now completely
clear, ready for the insulation fitters. (Yay!) Today I feel like I've
been beaten up, and my knee hurts. I'm going to have to take it
easy for a few days.

Re your rash: it's not measles, is it?

Fantastic. Now makw sure you do take it easy for a few days and are not just
saying it, like I do :0(

I had a busy day as well. First paid days work since breaking the ankle
(trouble is now my Incapacity Benefit and PHI payments stop). Lots of
walking at least four times around the pitch at Sunderland and to and fro
from the trucks and up to the commenatry position. I was expecting the
foot and ankle to complain but it's actually reduced the swelling
considerably, presumably the excercise has effectively pumped the fluid up
my leg. It is a bit tender in places but I'm not over concerned about
that.

admitit.

Edith-caught him out.

Nope, definitely not but I had that when I was a nipper.

I'll come clean. My name is Jp and I have rosacea. The skin on the face
- in my case, in the area I'd have whiskers if I were a cat, gets red
and lumpy with some bright red bumps (It's acne for grown-ups, and so
minus some of the excessive skin oils and gushing hormones which turn
teenagers' acne bumps into those awful "zits".)

There are all sorts of triggers, and I think mine was a stupid sunburn
in August followed by a sudden upsurge in the amount of coffee I was
drinking last month and it's faded quite a bit in the last couple of
days. I think it got worse by my trying to reduce the inflammation with
steroid creams and regular acne treatment makes it worse, too. I had the
same thing two years ago at the same time of year. My husband was sure
it was red wine, but I (thank Heaven!) had some on Friday and it's been
getting better since then, just using plain moisturiser and dumping a
new powdery concealer.

Isn't this discussion just fabulous - shingles, infected wound, a sore,
a psychedelic contusion and now acne! Bring on the scabs, the pustules
and the festering boils!!

Jp
