Y521MBF,motoring yob of the week
On Friday morning 13 February 2009 Y521MBF was being driven along
Reddish Road South Reddish.
It was behind an old white nissan Micra. The nissan micra was being
driven quite lawfully and at the speed limit by an elderly chap.
Y521MBF is a Blue Audi and its male driver was driving so close to the
nissan that i thought he was being towed. He was intimidating and aggresive.
The old chap indicated right and moved over to the right and stopped.
Yob in Audo moves to his left, stops alongside and mouths and gestures an
the old bloke.
What a big brave man. The old chap was doing nothing wrong and he could
quite easily have been scred or become ill as a result of this yobs actions.
I'll bet he wouldnt have done it to a big strong man as he would have
got his thick Gorton Skull kicked in.
Bullys always pick on the weak.

I hate old people in Nissan Micras! I have had one each day driving
along at 20-25mph holding people up. A lot of them don't even realise
they are in the car. On all occasions it was old men with poor sight and
no reactions.

You must have been close to see this clearly.

I think most people would do that if some idiot driver was holding
everyone up without a good excuse.

In which case he is not fit to drive and shouldn't be on the road.
His GP or relatives should report him immediately, did you get his number or
is it you!

He probably would. Seeing as you were such a concerned motorist and
you seem like a coward - did you report this to the police and what was
the crime reference number? I bet you drove straight past and wouldn't
have even stopped if there was some argument as you're a coward. You're
the scared type that will shout about something on a newsgroup that no one
knows if it is true or not, but will not do anything about it at the time.
> Bullys always pick on the weak.
He wasn't a bully, you're a coward so get a life, move along and stop
getting involved in things that do not concern you unless you're big and
brave enough to do something AT THE TIME.

Idiot.
Seeing as you approve of tail-gating, I *really* hope you try it on me
sometime.
My towbar loves front bumpers and radiators.

I'll look out for him. ;-)
Reddish Road has been deliberately narrowed down to prevent suicidal
overtaking.
I am 75, drive a Mondeo, and I don't 'ang about, but sometimes, like
when mine is being serviced, I borrow my 74 y/o g/f's Micra.
They are nippy around town, except on hills, but the different attitude
I get from other motorists in the Micra is amazing. They just *have*
to overtake you or at least pressure you by tailgating, and when
approaching obstructions from opposite directions, they never give way
to the Micra, but mostly do so to the Mondeo. Funny, innit?
Regarding age, the speed camera on Windmill Lane was placed there after
two fatal accidents, both involving young drivers.
The 50mph speed limit on the M60 bend near the Bredbury turn-off was
also imposed after two fatal crashes, again involving young drivers.
The lanes are narrow, but before the 50 limit appeared I could take that
bend at 70 mph without any danger of losing it (in the dry, of course).
;-)
I meet the occasional old fogey who holds up traffic, but an impatient
driver is a bad driver, so I try to keep my cool.

Re: Y521MBF,motoring yob of the week
Yes..he must be local. I seem to remember he turned right into one of
the side streets just after Houldsworth Square.

Re: Y521MBF,motoring yob of the week
Quite right Gordon. A good driver will share the road and look out for
the safety of others as well as himself.
What does it cost to be patient for a little while and then move on when
the opportunity arises?
There is little comfort in knowing you have caused someone injury or death.
Mind you, these bullet headed yobs are selfish and only think of themselves.
